Even though I'm the Secretary of State for the greatest nation to have ever existed in the history of the world, I'm just a regular girl at heart. Each day I am out there working to make life better for each and every person on the planet, but even a major government leader needs a special place where she can let her hair down when she's a little frustrated by day-to-day global issues.
As much as I wanted to rub up on Canadian Foreign Minister Peter MacKay with my mouth today, I couldn't. I was too sad -- sad thinking about all 2,973 of my people who were slaughtered by terrorists 5 years ago today.
2,973 HUMAN BEINGS.
I poured one out for them and wept.
